5. Glacial mill shaft and the Eastern shaft

The character of the following part of the cave is dominated by shafts.

To be seen at this point is the glacial mill shaft, one of the most attractive of the altogether 13 shafts. The smooth surface of its walls is due to the grinding and polishing action of water, a process known as erosion.

Parallel to this shaft the Eastern shaft reaches up to a height 15 meter beneath the surface.
