With a vertical extension of 45m this is the longest shaft in the cave.
It reaches up to a point 14m beneath the surface.
From the platform on which you are standing it is possible to look 18m down the shaft to where it bends before continuing another 20m to the "Lake", the deepest known part of the cave.
The water in the lake consists of drip (seepage) water which is not able to seep any deeper into the rock and sediment found here.
It has nothing to do with the actual karst water level to be found another 100m deeper.
